Dear Supporters,

First of all, we would like to thank you for your tremendous support and good wishes! Sumesh has shown positive signs of recovery. He is aware of his surroundings and can recognize people now. He is capable of breathing on his own while he is awake and they turn the ventilator on when he is sedated. He is responding very well to physiotherapy as well and moves his hands and legs strongly. His vision in the left eye seems good and he follows movements and people.

The doctors will keep him under observation in the ICU to see if he can go without ventilator for 48 hours, following which he may be shifted to HDU.

We thank you again for your continued  prayers and contributions without which Sumesh would not have shown such miraculous recovery.

Dear Supporters,

Here's a quick update:

Last night Two surgeries were performed on Sumesh by an opthamologist and a neuro surgeon.

Post surgery analysis -

There was slight dislocation of the brain in the skull. It had moved slightly downwards. Which has been fixed. Right temporal lobe has sustained some damage, recover might take time
Right eye has been restored to it's proper position.. Left eye seems fine. 99% chances of full recovery of vision with some impairment like blurry or bloody vision.

Feeding process shall begin with the help of a tube through the mouth.

Lowered dosage of anaesthesia expecting him to regain consciousness in the next 6-7hrs

No restoration of capacity to breathe fully by himself, ventilator aid will be gradually decreased to trigger bodies natural processes to take over.
