New Requirement:
1 cr. to 1.5cr (approx.)
Purpose:
To get an open plot for training activities for beggars. Approx. 5000 sq ft of land plot is required.
Progress so far:
1.1100 beggars have been provided with medical services.
2.52 children of the beggars have been given rehabilitation thereby providing them with assistance in education.
3.To mitigate the issue of begging, training is provided to the beggars so that they can start small business activities to self sustain.
4.Further, disabled people have been provided with wheelchairs etc.
5.185 beggars with brain hemorrhage, heart surgery, operations etc., have been treated so far.
6. 40 elderly women are a part of a Community Cleansing Group where they have specific uniforms and they work as cleaners/sweepers.
Funds utilised so far:
Treatment of beggars, education to children of beggars, purchase of equipment to start small scale businesses, purchase wheelchairs, sticks and crutches for disabled, weighing scale for blinds, sports equipment for aspiring children.
Beggars who have left begging have started selling flowers, waiters in hotels, Watchmen etc. A step towards self - sustainability.

From Thursday 25.6.20, onwards, we are giving these kits to another 150 needy beggars in Pune and Chinchwad area.
