Dear Supporters,

Hi all,

I thank you all for your support again! I have been admitted today. I will be going through a preconditioning Chemotherapy and a Total body Irradiation before the Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant scheduled for next week. We have found a half match donor amongst one of my cousins. As of now, this is the best option we have and in spite of the risks, we have decided to go ahead, Praying to come out in better shape.

Because of the procedures, I may not be able to post updates or communicate in the next few weeks. You may reach out to Sam or my father for any updates.

Regards
Anindya

Hi All,

I have no words to thank you all for the immense support that you all have extended to me, both monitory and in person. I apologise, for not being able to interact too much, because of my medications, but at least I would like to share some updates about my treatment.

I am still recovering (in Hospital) from my 1st cycle of Intense FLAG Chemotherapy after the relapse on 21st of March, 19. Hoping to get discharged for a few days of rest within a week or so.

On the Bone Marrow Transplant side, things are yet to look up. Both Apollo Hyderabad and Tata Cancer Center Kolkata have failed to come up with a donor from the international and domestic database (the USA excluded for Logistics time).

So the only way out is to find a half-match or haploid from within my family. Since I have no siblings this is looking complicated. But we have started to test the logically identified relatives. This is time-consuming.

On finding a possible match the Doctor will go ahead with the Chemo - BMT cycle. But if the search takes longer, I will be subjected to repeated cycles of intense Chemotherapy to keep the Cancer at bay. But that too has a limit since my body would become resistant to the chemo as well.

Well, on that note, I thank you again for your overwhelming support. Hope to see you all in good health.

Thanks for your support
