Hello family and friends,

I am writing to thank you all for your generosity in giving me a second life through your donation. It is hard for me to write this because my heart is very full. I want you to know how much your donations has changed my life.

On the 18th February 2019 I was diagnosed with ACUTE UNDIFFERENTIATED LEUKEMIA. Its been two years my treatment is on. I have been unable to (walk, eat well, talk) in the beginning of my CHEMOTHERAPY. The last 2 years I have (been in bed, in ICU, commuting to hospital, etc.). My doctor Dr. Punit Jain and his team have worked hard to keep me alive. These years i has been focused on getting better so I can be with my family for more years . I am waiting to get a donor so that I could undergo my BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT and complete the treatment . You have given me more than I could ever hope for. I will always take good care of this life which you all have gifted me.

My doctor says that I am (getting stronger, still struggling, slowly healing). I am taking CHEMOTHERAPY medicine and it is working good.

None of this would have been possible without the generous gift. I think of you all with thankfulness every day. You will always be in my prayers and thoughts. I wish good health for you and your family and hope that some day we can communicate.
Thanking you,
Regards
Keertibala Shukla.

Hello family and friends,

Starting with a warm thank you to all for your generous support for keerti's treatment. As you all know that a bone marrow transplant is recommended for keerti in her treatment but because of not getting a proper match for the stem cell donor, our doctor Dr. Punit Jain has suggested to take chemo medicine for 2 years.

Today I am writing you all in behalf of all the patient who needs a bone marrow transplant but they don't have a donor in their family. As there is only a 25% to 30% chance of finding a match within the family, the other option is to look for matches in unrelated registered donors. If the number of unrelated donors in the registry increases, patients have higher chances of finding a match. Therefore we need more number of registered unrelated donors. Because of the small database of donors in India the chances of finding a donor match are as low as 10-15% as compared to the west where the chances are as high as 60-70%. Clearly, this is a sad situation.

You all were with us through our journey and will be with us in the future too. It would be so easy for keerti if she would have got a donor for the transplant but sadly it is not possible so far. So I beg you all to please register yourself as a stem cell donor so much more lives can be saved.

Thank you,
Regards,
Kimaya Keerti Ameya.

Hello family and friends,

These words are completely inadequate for what you all have done for me.

Your selfless act humbles me, I can't believe that you all took such great efforts for saving my life. You all have made a huge difference in my life. It is just because of your donations I am able to write this letter in good health.

Me, my husband, and my daughter would like to say thank you to all, as well you all have given me more time to be with my family. That is the best gift you all have given to me.

Thank you so much again.

Regards,
Keertibala Shukla.
