I would like to thank you all for your overwhelming support for the campaign these past few weeks. In this period, post the shocking discovery of disease progression in the last scan, we went to New Delhi to get targeted radiation for my mother's brain lesions. We decided to do it first as brain lesions increasing in size can lead to very difficult complications for the patient. It was a huge expenditure as we got radiotherapy in a private hospital in Delhi as that specialized radiation is not available in our govt hospital in Lucknow. It was extremely expensive and cost us over 4 Lakhs.

Now after returning we have been prescribed a chemo regimen in which my mom will be put on two targeted therapies in conjunction with a new chemo for fighting the disease. This is the option we are going for as we don't have funds to go for the standard treatment T-DM1 which costs about 4-5 Lakhs per cycle. If/When this line of treatment fails that will be our only line of treatment. We need all the help we can get. Its been extremely tough managing my new job with the travel to Delhi, staying in a hotel, daily trips to the hospital, etc. but all of this is extremely trivial compared to my mother's well-being.

I need all your help for getting to my campaign target. The money in the accumulated figure is mostly spent as the campaign has been ongoing since Jan 2019. Her medications will be extremely expensive with the current regimen costing us 90k-1L per cycle every  14 days.

Hello everyone,

I come bearing devastating news. The most recent scan showed significant disease progression. My mother's lung lesion has become pretty substantial causing troubled breathing. She has two new brain lesions and a some liver lesions with quite a few lymph nodes positive. I am devastated beyond belief. I thought the current treatment was helping her and the disease remained limited only to a small lung lesion.

The doctor has advised us to switch to a new targeted medicine, each cycle of which would cost upwards of 3-4Lakh. Other than that she needs targeted radiation on her brain lesions and possible palliative chest radiation for breathing relief. The total cost of all this would be over 25 lakhs. I don't know what to do at this point, I just recently gained a job which I am yet to start, but all my happiness at finally scoring a job was washed away on reading the scan. I beg all of you reading this to please help if you can and spread this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues and please ask them to do so as well. My mother is a fighter who's fought extremely bravely so far (still remains in reasonable health overall) and I don't want her to have to give up fighting simply because her son is unable to afford her treatment. She deserves a chance to live as long as possible. PLEASE HELP.

I hope every one is keeping safe with their loved ones in these unprecedented times.

We have moved back to our hometown- Lucknow, where treatment continues. My mother is now scheduled for a PET-SCAN which is pretty expensive and depending on the results, her medication would continue. Her medicines currently cost upto 40-45k per month and if they change, next line of treatment could see the costs triple.

I would highly appreciate it if you can either contribute or share the campaign in your circles. I am eternally grateful to all of you. I hope my next update to you all brings positive news regarding the scan.
