Today, we have initiated the formal discussion with NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OCEAN TECHNOLOGY for a technical support to address the shoreline changes due to the sedimentation issue happened in the Pushpavanam Village in Naapatinam District has lost its beautiful beach  where the impact to fishermen are huge and their livelihood being questioned, since they are not possible to stage their boats until the sediments cleared. This is the real victims of climate change by the effects of GAJA Cyclone. We are continued work with the impact assessment, rehabilitation and mitigation plan hence please continue to support us to complete the rehabilitation.

Also, we are in the progress to collect the Boat registration certificates from the respective Puspavanam Fishermen to prepare the absolute list of beneficiary.

As per our preliminary assessment Roughly 84 boats were operational in the pushpavanm village Fishermen community which are mixed with standard(small) and large fiber boats along with the multiple seasonal nets.

To address the basic livelihood supports of the pushpavanm village Fishermen community irrespective of the standard (small) or larger boats, we are proposing to provide the  below break up items.
1. New standard (small) fiber bots.
2. current fishing season net which is POMFRET Fishing net.
3. Disk net.
4. 10HP Lombardini diesel Engine.
5. Rope setting.

Which are all approximate cost around 4,00,000. Hence,  we would like to support these Fishermen to bring their livelihood and rehabilitation.

Please help them as much as you can by support us through this campaign.
