The practice of harvesting rainwater dates back to Vedic times when the need to create water sources that would remain both clean and provide plentifully was recognized.  In Rigveda and Atharvaveda, several verses are devoted to water and its utility and most interesting fact is, In Rigveda’s Adhvaryus suktas Adhvaryus is known as policy for nation building. In which 10 duties are explained for nation building and the second duty is RAINWATER HARVESTING.

These are the pictures of my work process from April.16 to July.16 for whole  album click on below link.

Dear Supporters,
People of rural Rajasthan shares some interesting facts about water.Normally we consider that there are two types of water.
Water which is above ground and another is groundwater.
According to them there are three types. First is rainwater (Paaler paani), water sources like rivers, ponds, wells etc. are basically rain water.
Second is water which is just 5-6ft below the upper surface (Rejani paani). Third is groundwater (Paatal paani) which is deep inside the ground.
They said; we should use only first two and groundwater should be used during drought or in worst case. Irony is, today we are using ground water on large scale because we destroyed or stopped conserving rainwater.
They ask: Can you think of anything that does not require water….??

Thank you people for your support.
Keep sharing and supporting.
