Hey there,

Happy New Year! Hope you’ve had a great start to the new year. :)

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support in improving the lives of vulnerable children.

Here’s a short update –

As a part of the Scholastic Program, we organized a meetup for all 150 of our scholastic awardees in December. This was the first of three such meetups they will get to attend through the course of this 1-year program. These meetups are aimed at creating a community or a social support network for our awardees along with providing them crucial skills to guide them towards employability.

The cohort got to know each other and through this engagement, we were able to clearly identify what their key transitional needs are. Apart from the obvious financial assistance that they all required, our team was also able to identify the crucial areas they needed support in - across personal development and skill building - that stemmed from a lack of exposure.

We heard heartbreaking stories of their childhood experiences, their resilience and what got to them where they are today. It was exciting to hear their aspirations and hope for the future. They wished to be everything from cardiac surgeons to policemen to IAS officers. It was refreshing to see a common theme of ‘doing service’ across a majority of their ambitions.

It also wasn’t all just the serious stuff. :) The day was filled with fun activities and our students left with a sense of community – exchanging contact details and promises of meeting again very soon!
