Hello to all donors

I have not sent any new sterilization cases since it has been dangerously hot. I am still waiting for the weather to improve. Another unfortunate thing happened as well. I had talked about sterilizing few dogs of a particular area. Unfortunately two weeks later, a friend told me that all except one were found dead. She saw them all dead at a corner of the road within a span of two weeks. When she tried to investigate, she did not get a good response.

I am hoping to send at least 5 dogs by the end of this month.

I have been busy with two cases which literally changed my life. Both cases were difficult for me. My experience has largely been with open wounds and cuts which are relatively easy to treat. However, the following cases were complicated. I had no hope for the second one but the dog surprised me.

Case 1
Bullet

As you can see, his right eye is red in this picture. I saw the eye become red and water for few days. I wanted to take him to vet but I had to wait for a vehicle. As soon as I got a vehicle, I took him to vet.

While being weighed and checked for temperature

He was prescribed drops and antibiotics.

Total cost : Rs 627

After about 10 days of treatment, the redness was gone.

Case 2:
Mangal AKA Pupui

Mangal is a dog I met suddenly. I was walking by a park when I suddenly saw a dog with no fur and a broken leg running around.
The sight shocked me till no end. He literally had no hair on his body. I had no medicine with me so I called my friends who kept him  busy. I rushed to medicine shop to get medicines.

I named him Mangal. His leg wound seemed old and beyond treatment. His condition did not seem to improve for the following weeks.

3 weeks later, I got Kidney, liver and CBC tests done for him. I was sure something was very wrong with his kidneys and liver. I was sure he had internal parasites. But the tests revealed nothing was wrong!

Meanwhile, Mangal disappeared after the tests. A friend spotted him 5 days later about a kilometer away. He said Mangal was growing hair. I was delighted. Then I myself went there to see him but could not find him.
The next day at the same location, Mangal himself recognized me and came to me. I had not recognized him because his fur was fully grown. I finally met his caretaker who is a poor muri wala (puffed rice seller) and did not know how to treat him. He said Mangal's name was Pupui.

Yes, its the same dog!!

Total cost: Rs 2410
Mangal is one of my best cases and I am extremely proud that I could do it.

Thank you all for making this possible!

Dear Donors,

Thank you for the wonderful support!

I have not been able to send any dog for sterilization for more than a month because my own dog was sick. Unfortunately, she left us in the first week of March. Kindly pray for my dog to rest in peace. I restarted my sterilization work and sent 6 dogs for sterilization. There were three females and three males. Rose (the puppy who had a grievous head wound) was also sent today as she is now eligible for sterilization.
Next drive will be in April

Thank you for your love and support!

Regards
Romita

Here is the receipt of Rs 9000

Hi to all donors

Throughout January I was occupied with a grievous case and was down with various health problems.

Her name is Rose, Two different NGOS have tried to catch her mother for sterilization but failed. So, she was born. Her siblings died within two months. She was bitten by a bigger dog and that resulted in a big nasal wound. i was late in reaching her as I was sick myself. By the time I got to her, this was the condition.

However, she surprised us all and recovered fully.

Currently I am busy with yet another cataract and leg wound case. Bullet is 12 years old and his eyes are as good as gone. Treatment has just started and will go on for weeks.

I am withdrawing the final amount remaining for sterilizations starting from February.
Thank you all!
