We have received a note from Aravind's doctor. He needs to undergo a bone marrow transplantation. Funds raised through this campaign kept him going till now. His infections and tuberculosis didn't allow the doctors to perform a bone marrow transplantation till now. But now he is fit to undergo a transplant. Laxman's daughter is a match to be the donor for the transplant. But the family is in need of support.

Here's the note from the doctor:

Aravind has battled with tuberculosis since early infancy. For the first time in years, we have managed to get control of his infection that had also affected his brain and we now are in a position to offer a curative bone marrow transplantation. We have the child's sister who is now ready to donate her bone marrow. The procedure will carry a 50% risk to life as we are starting with a child with no immunity. The family is from Bihar and now live in Bongaigon in Assam where no facilities exist to diagnose or treat such complex cases.

If we have 15 lakhs arranged for the transplant, this boy will have a chance to live.

Laxman, Aravind's father, has no option left but to take his son back home if he cannot arrange the funds.

Thank you for your support. Aravind's father has asked us to convey his heartfelt gratitude to you. Aravind is on injections and medications to boost his immunity in order to control the recurring tuberculosis. Doctors at Apollo have planned to do his bone marrow tranplant in the month of March, 2016. Aravind is now at home with his family. He will be visiting the hospital for checkups before the BMT procedure.
