Dear Supporters,

Keerthan as you all know he underwent a split Liver deceased donor Liver transplant 10 days ago. He also needed to have another operation 5 days ago to have a little infection cleared from his abdomen.

He has recovered well and is today being shifted out of the Transplant ICU to the wards. This is a momentous day for him and parents. As you all were aware, he had a life threatening illness in the form of acute liver failure and a liver transplant was the only way out for a reasonable chance at long-term survival. Unfortunately both his parents were not suitable living Liver donors.

Timely help from all of you large-hearted people in the form of financial support and the decision by a brain dead child’s family to donate their beloved ones organs resulted in a life-saving treatment for young Keerthan.

The family express their heartfelt gratitude to all of you  who have made this possible. Our entire team at Aster ILC joins them in their appreciation of your help.

Dear generous donors,

The young baby to whom you all opened out your hearts and donated liberally, has undergone a deceased donor liver transplant  overnight and is recovering in our Transplant ICU. His liver graft is working well and we expect him to recover over the next few days.

Although this baby had an extremely serious life threatening illness - Acute liver failure not responding to medical treatment and needing an urgent liver transplant, he seems particularly blessed!! Due to your generous contributions his requirement of finances for his treatment could be met within a short period of time and a family whose loved one had passed away donated organs which was crucial in Keerthan being able to undergo this life-saving treatment.

Dear Supporters,

We are grateful for the wonderful support you have shown towards Baby Keerthan.

The child remains stable in our ICU and is now fit for the liver transplant. Hilda mother has commenced work-up as a potential donor. Also the child has been listed for a super-urgent blood group compatible graft with Jeevasarthakathe, the nodal agency for coordinating deceased donor organ transplants in Karnataka.

Please pray for his health and speedy recovery.
