Secondary update - we have disbursed another round of funds to each family in need in the community. Families have also received several rounds of food aid (rice, pulses, oil, spices and a few vegetables) so as of now, everyone is managing to survive. In addition to all of this, your generous contribution has also helped us recharge several parents' phones, enabling us to stay in touch with with our students and conduct lessons on Zoom!

Dear donors,
Thank you - from the bottom of our hearts - for all your help thus far. You have given our kids the whole world, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Right now, we need you more than ever.
COVID-19 has left our students completely helpless. Many parents have been fired from their jobs, while others have been discharged indefinitely (with no assurance of pay). They do not have enough money to pay their rent or gas bills. Some cannot afford to recharge their phones. Policemen are blocking street entryways, threatening to beat them even if they just need to buy basic necessities.
Every paisa collected from this fundraiser goes directly towards food packets and cash handouts (minimum Rs. 1000 per family) for over 900 families in the Kannammapet slum community.
If there was ever a time for you to be selfless, it is now. Make it count.
Remember: You will live through this - they might not.
