Good Morning. As we have mentioned on our previous update, we have started our relief kit distribution in Kottayam District. Most of the families in these villages are agri labours and fishermen. Their houses and livelihoods are affected. They are in the process of cleaning and returning to their houses from relief camps. As they are returning home, our dry ration and hygiene supplies will help them immednsely. Please find the pictures of relief distribution in below.

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for the continued support you are showing towards our relief activities and to the people of Kerala.
We have identified 1500 flood affected families in Ernakulam & Kottayam district of Kerala. To support these families, we are withdrawing 16 lakhs. Please find the bills attached. This amount will be used to procure relief supplies which includes dry ration and hygiene items.

These supplies will help us to assemble 1500 relief kits to be distributed for 1500 families in next 7 days.

We expect the supplies will reach our warehouse by today and we’ll be start distributing the kits from Sunday onwards.

The distribution details with photographs will be posted from Sunday onwards.

Thanks to the overwhelming support you've rendered towards the relief efforts so far. Here's a quick note to update you all on the fund utilization so far.

1) IMMEDIATE RELIEF MATERIALS PROCUREMENT: 
Around 10 Lakhs Rupees has been utilized by Rapid Response towards purchase of immediate relief items. The following are the breakup on use of funds

  1. Groceries (Rice, Flour, Dal, Sugar,Salt, Oil et all) - Rs 3.69L
  2. Hygiene (Personal hygiene, cleaning products) -  Rs 2.90L
  3. Mattresses & Blankets (1900 units)                     -    Rs 3.04L*
  4. Logistics (from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu)           -   Rs 0.30L
  5. Food & Accom for on-ground volunteers          -     Rs 0.12L 
*(Errata) - prev mentioned as Rs 4.04L
Below are the bills against the procurement of items listed above from Coimbatore. The bills are in the name of Asharani, founder of Rapid Response ( https://www.rapidresponse.org.in/leadership.html )

2. MEDICINES:
An equivalent amount of Rs 5.3 Lakhs has been made towards the procurement and delivery of 50,000 units of anti-virus drug, to prevent the spread of contagious/viral diseases. The name, strength and quantities of the drugs required came via a volunteer from the government health services department, through the office of the District Collector, Wayanad. The medicines will be delivered to the collectorate, Wayanad, There are about 30000 people in the camps in Wayanad and the DMO will be entrusted with the medication.  We'll share further updates once the medicines are delivered at the camp in the coming days.

Below is the invoice towards the same - we are grateful that the pharma supplier provided a discount of Rs 4Lakhs from the MRP. 

Appreciate the support once again. We look forward to sharing more updates of relief and rehab activity taking place on the ground.
