We have been successful in executing our plans during 2019. Most people donated directly and not on Milaap. However we have been requested by many of our supporters to keep the Milaap option alive. Hence we would like to extend the campaign for one more year.

Hi all,

Thank you all for the support and love.

Most of the work is now taking place at the Shettybetu School in Parkala near Manipal. They have a primary and a senior school and both schools have been provided with Solar Power. The Government of Karnataka is providing some funds for a conventional toilet. Once the construction is complete we will convert it to a Bio-Toilet by installing a Bio-Digester. The plan is to provide this school with a 350 meters compound wall and a rain-water harvesting facility.

For the Sarelebettu School with which we began this campaign we have provided a fully furnished classroom which doubles up as a dining hall for lunch. For both the schools together we provided about 5,500 notebooks; about 130 school bags and 130 umbrellas.

The Government provides mid-day meals, but it is just sambar and rice. There is a request for a vegetable and curd, and possibly a Rs 2 packet of Parle G on a daily basis. I am trying to get quotations. Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks
