Thank you for the wonderful support. Please find below the results from the Finals that happen on 27th August 2018.
 
Delhi Public School, Hyderabad Girls and Future Kids Boys are the champs of the 16th St. Patrick’s Devasia Inter School Basketball Tournament. In the Final DPS Girls won a hard-fought 1st half against Future Kids Girls 62 – 43 after leading 26 – 19 at halftime. Whereas Future Kids Boys trounced Delhi Public School, Hyderabad 48 – 23  after comfortably leading 21 – 11 at halftime.

Chief Guest for the Finals Sri. GONNELA  SREERAM, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Siddipet distributed the Momentoes and Trophies.  Miss. Ishika of Delhi Public School in Girls and Master. Anish of Future Kids was adjudged Most Valuable Player whereas Miss. Aditi of Future Kids in Girls and Master  Raghav of Delhi Public School in Boys were adjudged the Upcoming Player.

GIRLS:  In the evenly contested 1st quarter both the teams did a very tight defence and not allowing any free spaces for scoring as Future Kids lead 10 – 8 at end of 1st quarter.

However, in the 2nd quarter Delhi Public School girls just outpaced the Future Kids defence and scored heavily through fast breaks by Harshita with Ishika (Most Valuable Player) supporting with accurate passes to score 22 points and with some tight defence restricting Future Kids to only 9 points.  

After a change of ends, DPS continued the same rhythm and rallied to score 14 points against 8 points by Future Kids. In the 4th and last quarter Future Kids fought back with three 3-points in succession by Aditi but DPS too were chipping in regularly through Harshita.  Harshitha scores a tournament-high of 38 points in the match.

BOYS:  Future Kids scored a comfortable 48 – 23 victory over Delhi Public School after leading 21 – 11 at halftime.  Future Kids played a fast-paced game from the start with Anish (Most Valuable Player) and Adyan combining very well and took a quick 13 – 3 lead at end of 1st quarter.  Though Delhi Public School had the height advantage but were unable to capitalize on it as Subhas and Anish did well in their Zonal Defense collecting all the defensive rebounds.

In the 2nd half, DPS tried to make a comeback through Raghav and Lakshman, but it was too little as Future Kids were chipping in with baskets at regular intervals to finally comfortably win the match 48 – 23.
