My name is Dr Sonal Asthana and I am Thanmay's doctor and surgeon.

It's amazing to see the support Thanmay received within 4 days of starting this campaign. As a doctor, I am overwhelmed to see donors like you coming together to help. It's your timely support that helped him undergo the transplant as planned.

5 years ago, when I came to India from the United Kingdom, my thoughts were around bringing affordable liver care to patients in India especially to children. Every year nearly 100 children die because their families are unable to afford a liver transplant.

But thanks to donors like you and generous corporate sponsors, we have able to bring hospitals onboard to reduce their costs too and provide affordable liver care to children like Thanmay.

We aim to conduct liver transplants for 10 children this year through this initiative, where every rupee from donors like you will be matched and 100% of your donation will go towards the child's treatment. We've already been to able to help 2 other children too - Anjali and Baby Dayaa

Dear Supporter,

Thanmay has come out of his transplant operation and has bounced back to health. His liver graft donor was his father, Manjunath. He is doing well too. The family is eager to get back to Bangalore.

The team at Kochi has become very fond of Thanmay. They are sure to miss him. Once he reaches Bangalore, the team here will take on his continued care and follow-up.

Thank you for your generous contribution. Your support made this treatment and recovery possible for Thanmay. Now, he has a great chance of long-term survival and this has given a lot of hope and happiness for his parents.
