Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your support

The school is running online at present due to Covid. But some children do come to play in the grounds on their own. Parents have been trained about personal hygiene and precautions to be taken with kids.

We had some early showers and therefore the assistant teacher, shri Himanshu ji, is busy planting fruit trees..(below)

Thanks for your ongoing best wishes and help..

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your support

The school was opened for a brief spell in Feb-March 2021, after getting due permission from Parent's Association. This being a closed remote community with no outside traffic, risk of infection was considered very low at that time. Mid day meals  were served. Classes were held regularly.
(Kids using a telescope)

But later, the classes had to be turned over to online medium in view of rising risk of infection. Homework is now being given on WhatsApp and checked on it. The teacher is also taking care of the fruit trees on the campus, which were planted last summer besides other tasks to maintain and beautify the school campus... (below)
We believe that children have great stores of resilience and soon they will bounce back from this pandemic experience, perhaps with a greater sense of personal responsibility and public safety.

We thank you for your ongoing support and hope to thank you, someday in person!

Please take care!

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your support

The school is doing fine and we have opened from 1st Feb 2021, after corona lock down. Some new kids have joined, because there parents have returned from the cities due to corona and are in no mood to return to cities. We are taking all the precautions. Mid day meals are being served..:

Bad Weather at Chakrata!

First week Feb 2021: We had rains - and snowfall on the higher mountains surrounding our school (see the pic above). The school was closed for two days due to intense cold. Of course some determined kids had arrived nevertheless!

And then sun came out on a clear blue sky; Kids were given extra time to play football in the sun! Even the guru ji (Teacher, Mr Chain Singh) joined in the fun. See below:
Moral: Bad weather doesn't last!
