I got enough funding to launch this project.  Hence I would like to close the fundraiser.  IN order to plant 1000 trees, various expenses need to take place now (buying manure, digging holes, labor, buying saplings etc.).  Hence I need funds now.

Thanks Gopal Das Sohal for agreeing to make these tree guards for us.  This is the most environment friendly and cost-effective tree guard option that we could find.  The tree guard is made-up of scarp wood and will cost us only Rs. 100 each.  The wood quality is good and the guards should easily last at least 1-2 years.  Gopal Das is my cousin who lives in the same village where plantation will take place.  His carpentry skills, creativity and physical effort will go a long way in protecting plants that can be hurt by stray animals, if proper tree guards are not used.  Thanks Gopal.

We are about a month away from kicking-off plantation.  I will be traveling from Singapore to my village in Una on 29th June.  But my father has already engaged local authorities for support in the week.  A local scrap dealter has also been contacted who could give us recycled tree guards (to save plants from animals).
