Dear Family,
A very happy new year to you. Today as I write to you  I am both happy and excited. Happy because of our work so far with the students, bringing a change in their lives; and Excited because we have realized that the journey has just begun and we have miles to go!
Briefing the year 2019, I have some quick updates for you.
Both Samyak and I joined Involve full time, after graduating from IIT Madras in May. We doubled the number of students that we work with to about 1500, expanding our reach into more government schools. We ventured into public schools in Bangalore with an in-school model, in partnership with Mantra4change, that has been doing fantastically well. Our preliminary Impact assessment had more than 80% of the student leaders showing improvement in 4C's (communication, collaboration, critical thinking & creativity). 95% of our school principals felt that our program is critical for student's growth, with some of them even agreeing to give us extra time in the school. Our foundational maths program for learners in Chennai crossed the 80% mark in the topics covered so far.

Thinking about the org itself, we built quite a good team now, each one of them leading their programs with full ownership. We got accepted into the Central Square Foundation's grant accelerator program. I received an award from Prime Minister Narendra Modiji in September. Samyak got selected as the top 30 young leaders around the world for a prestigious gratitude network fellowship in Silicon Valley. Ashwini got selected for the GAP Changemakers program. The list is endless!

Who made all of this possible?

Our super amazing team along with your constant support led us to do such wonderful things! So as we move into a new decade, I want to thank you for your trust in us, for your unwavering support and for the commitment to nudge the lives of our children for a better tomorrow!

In this new year, empower kids to become leaders of tomorrow! Support us in reaching 1000 more underprivileged students next year by contributing to our cause :)

Thank you,
Divanshu,

Hello Involve Family,

We are very excited to share these updates with you :)

Some Inspirational Moves

A key element of collaborations are the mentors who constantly guide the cohort organisations. One of our mentors, Sanjay Purohit Sir who has been the Executive Vice President of Infosys for multiple years and is an advisor to EkStep Foundation and eGovernments Foundation, along with his wife Anupama Purohit visited us in Chennai. They spent an hour with our Changemaker fellows and visited one of our partner schools to understand our work on the ground. It not only has put trust in us, provided the required mentoring support but also provide an opportunity to learn from his vast experience.

Student Leadership in Bengaluru

Reaching out to more schools and impacting more Students is what we dream of. Following this, we started out Program in 2 more Schools. Both these schools are led by visionary Leaders and are focused on student-centric learning. With training completed and our Peer Teaching classes about to start, we are excited to see how these students grow into responsible leaders.

Student-Driven Ecosystem

Peer Teaching started in our schools in Chennai for this academic year, and the reason why we are very excited is that the classes and students are managed and trained completely by a set of college students whom we selected as "Changemakers Fellows". Imagine what we could achieve if College students start mentoring Senior students of the school who in turn teach their juniors.

Widened Involve Team

It is always an exciting time to bring a new team member on board. We are pleased to have Kadambari joining our team in Chennai. She has completed her Bachelors in Social work from Madras School of Social Work and has also worked with HelpAge India and International Alliance for prevention of AIDS. With outstanding relationship building techniques, proficiency in training & presentation skills we believe she will add a lot of value to Involve.

We received our 12A and 80G

We received our 80G tax exemption certificate and 12A this month. This is coming at the right time as we plan to expand our projects.
All donations to Involve are now tax exempt so feel free to help us reach out and empower more Students.

Thank you so much for your continued support in our journey of transforming students into changemakers of tomorrow!

Warm regards,
Involve Team

Hello Involve Family,
Very excited to give these 2 updates to you :)

1) In the beginning of the month, we invited all our Student Leaders to Shaastra (the Technical festival of IIT Madras) for a one day innovation trip and our students loved the exposure that they got. Most of these were students from corporation schools and communities where coming to a IIT college campus and having a tour of it is quite a dream. Here is a picture that says it all:

2) Our Students took part in the Maker's club event of the Kids Education Revolution Summit organized by Teach For India - Chennai. This served as a space for the students of  various schools to come together and share about the projects they are involved in.  Our SLs spoke how the Peer teaching platform and the Leadership training-ALS are helping them.  As an icing on the cake, they also won a prize in the quiz!

Thank you so much for your continued support in our journey of transforming students into changemakers of tomorrow!
