Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for your support.

There is an important development in the disease progression. During the last week of April my father got really sick and blood test confirmed that the very high Bilirubin levels.
Oncologist has identified it as a urine infection and treated him with high-dose of antibiotics. Fever has suppressed because of the antibiotics, however Bilirubin levels kept increasing leading to eyes turning green and body turning yellow color.

On discussion with Gastroenterologist, we have immediately shifted him to Asian institute of Gastroenterology for treatment. Doctors confirmed it was due to migration of previously placed SEMS(stent) and hence recommended for a stent replacement. NBT was placed on 27/04 for removal of infection and ERCP with uncovered SEMS was placed on 30/04.

Physically, he had lost 5 kg's weight.  He is able to speak and take liquid food to an extent and doctors suggested to continue with treatment. BP, loss of hair and body pains are some side effects seen intermittently.

I would like to thank all of you once again for helping us and supporting us. Do pray for his health and speedy recovery. As the treatment costs for the ERCP (estimated at 1.6 Lakhs) are on the higher end of my reach, I would like to request you to share this campaign further with your friends and family to help us in raising funds for his treatment.

Will keep you posted with updates.

Regards,
Vineeth

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for your support.

Another month of treatment has been completed and details are as below:

My father has crossed 60 years this April 2nd :)

Physically, there is not much change compared to the last one month. He has decreased two kg's, might be due to the chemo.  He is able to speak and eat solid food to an extent and doctors suggested to continue with treatment. BP, Fever , loss of hair and body pains are some side effects seen intermittently. Fever has been continuous for a while and he is on antibiotics for the same.

Change in diet has helped, my father regained sufficient levels of hemoglobin to continue with the Chemo. 12th Cycle of Chemo has been completed and next cycle will be with a gap of 4 weeks going forward. (Myalgias) Body pains have been continuous post-chemo and daily a Tramadol injection is given.

12 sessions  of Chemotherapy have been completed till date.

I would like to thank all of you once again for helping us and supporting us. Do pray for his health and speedy recovery. Will keep you posted.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for your love.

A month of treatment done from the previous update and below is the update on my father's health :

Physically, he is doing better now compared to earlier. He has increased two kg's of the 18 kg's he has lost in the last 4 months.  He is able to speak and eat solid food to an extent and doctors suggested to continue with treatment. BP, Fever , loss of hair and body pains are some side effects seen intermittently.

Medically , as the CT scan results have not provided a confirmation on the progression of the disease or the impact of the treatment, Doctor has performed an Ultrasound Abdomen before this treatment cycle. The Ultrasound results give a positive hope as the initial pancreatic tumor size has slightly decreased. 12th session of Chemo is not planned this week as the hemoglobin levels are lower than normal and hence a blood transfusion has been done. Also we have made some changes to the diet to ensure that there is sufficient hemoglobin levels to continue with the Chemo.

6 cycles ( 11 sessions ) of Chemotherapy have been completed till date.

I would like to thank all of you once again for helping us and supporting us. Do pray for his health and speedy recovery. Will keep you posted.
