Dear All, We've hit our fundraising goal for Ridhi, There's still a long, hard road ahead but your generosity has made all the difference in her cancer treatment. I want to thank Milaap and everyone for coming up for her and I'll never forget what you did for Ridhi. We cannot express in words how much we owe to her Doctors whose care is totally committed and very intense.

When Ridhi's counts were finally recovering last week, she got severe Gastrointestinal infections and was back to hospital again. She underwent blood, platelets transfusion again. Since yesterday she is also completely NPO (no eating or drinking) to recovering fast from these infections.
The relief of hearing she's in remission has been very short lived always after her transplants and so again it is time to being scared and worried. We just wish she could do better and we could go home and do all the things normal families do, we are so sick of hospitals and procedures now. Hopefully everything stays good and recover fast. Thanks to all for everything!

Ridhi is doing good and is slowly recovering and we are so pleased with the entire healthcare team for especially their attention towards Ridhi.
But due to the continued episodes of her diarrhoea and very low blood counts, recovery time will be extensive with a week’s or more stay in the hospital and an additional 2-3 months recovery period as during this transplant she has undergone countless tests, chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation also. Again Hospital bill is around INR 16.9 Lakh (22/08/2015) excluding the cash medicines of cost of INR 7 Lakh approx. I cannot come close to paying for them on my own. Most of the time I did not want to make her illness public and have done everything I could think of to pay the bills on my own. Today, I realized this is just not possible, and I will have to  ask for the kindness and generosity of friends and family to help me through. If you can afford to donate any amount, I will be extremely grateful and appreciative. All of the funds we collect will go directly to her hospital bills. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this!

The most challenging part of having an ill child who can't speak yet is that they cannot tell you what is wrong, so you don't know if they are in pain, scared, frustrated, tired, or something else all together.

Ridhi has developed Grade-3 GVHD (graft-versus-host disease- a serious complication) of the skin (Rashes on body), gastrointestinal tracts (life-threatening diarrhea), lungs (breathing difficulties- for almost a week), and very high liver enzymes.  Everyday is a roller coaster now as Ridhi will need continued, extensive, and delicate care in the months ahead. Sometimes there are no words to express what we are experiencing but we can't give up hope.
