An update on Ruchi's progress - She was faced with obstruction of the tracheostomy tube, leading to cough issues. Change of tube and proper suction helped her with the problem. The doctor's instructions include continued nursing and physio care.

Greetings to all!

Around mid-July of this year, Ruchi's brother Shanu raised the concern of financial hardship that the family was going through due to Ruchi's medical treatment. The fund required was beyond our personal capacity and that's when we thought of crowdfunding the amount.

We started the fundraiser on 29 July 2020, shared the story with our family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances and in less than 10 days we raised around INR 5 Lakhs. Hundreds of you all came forward to help, contributed and supported further by spreading the cause.

Ruchi's story was shared and viewed 1,527 times globally; people from India, Dublin, North Bergen, Canada and Dubai extended their kind help.

We are extremely grateful to each of the 596 supporters. While we have tried to acknowledge the donors, most of them have contributed anonymously and hence we are unable to personally thank you but we'd like you to know that we are deeply thankful; you have reaffirmed our belief in humanity and empathy. Some of the people have actively supported the campaign, we really appreciate your efforts, our heart is full of love and gratitude for you.

Ruchi's Health Update - Ruchi's recovery is a slow and long process, but each day is crucial and she requires continuous attention. Even a twitch or vomit has to be taken seriously as it indicates change in her neurological health. Ruchi is stable, her vitals are good, physical therapy and medications are also going on and neurological consultations are being sought at regular intervals.


Campaign Update - I am very pleased to share that we have raised 95% of the fund but still need INR 27,000 more. We'd really appreciate if you can share the link with your friends and family and help us reach the goal.

As you all know this fund is helping us provide the medical care and support that Ruchi needs.
