Greetings from Vardhishnu.
We started Vardhishnu in 2013 with an aim to provide a safe, secure and happy childhood. The idea was to create an eco-system for street children specially child waste pickers and child labors through community learning centers which acts as a bridge between the child, his/her parents and the schools.A dream started with just 10-12 kids has now reached more than 125+ and 3 community learning centers.
We enrolled our first batch of 16 children in 2016-17. Since then we have successfully enrolled and sustained 250+ children into the main stream education. This is our 4th consecutive year to enroll children into the school. This year we are also planning to initiate 2 new learning centers.
Our Goal for 2019-20 are as follows:
- Initiate 2 new learning centers (Anandghar)
- Reach upto 400 children with the help of 5 Anandghar. (3 old + 2 new)
- Enroll & sustain 85% of these children into main stream education
- Take Avg. HB of Anandghar from 9.5 to 11 by the end of 2019-20 academic year.
But this cant be achieved without your support. This year we are looking to raise Rs. 10 Lac through crowdfunding. We need your support. The donations will be used for school fees, stationery, academic books, honorarium of fellows, rent of the premise, exposure visits, nutritional support, medical help to seek children.
