Dear Supporters,

Here is an update on the progress of the campaign.
We have identified over 1000 plus household is Thiruvannamalai. Kanchipuram, Cuddalore and Salem districts.
We will provide them with different types of spinach, ladies finger, brinjal, pumpkin, and other varieties of gourds.
Currently, we are providing these to 300 houses. The funds raised will be used for this kitchen garden program for all the 1000 households.
The crops are ideal for the winter season as they supplement the family with nutritious food with less amount of watering required.

Thank you for your support and love for our campaign.
Regards,
Ajay Kumar

Dear Friends,

It has been a while since my last update. The good rains in Northern Tamil Nadu have kept us busy.

We have raised about 8 lacs (with commitment for another 1 lac) from enthusiastic supporters like you. We are also in discussion with CSR departments to help reach our target. Additional support will be required for the procurement of the groundnut harvestor.

I am happy to share that our pilot with Urad in Theni was successful. The new seed variety increased yields from 4.5 bags an acre to 6 bags an acre ( a 33% increase). We believe that there is potential to demonstrate even higher yields and will be repeating the work with some improvements in Kumbakonam. We will be able to distribute high quality seeds to farmers from March 18 onward.

We kick started the kitchen garden program for 2018  in Thiruvannamalai for 150 households. In December we will be working with a 1000 more households in Kalpakkam, Viruthachalam, Thiruvannamalai and Salem.

Our Modified system of rice intensification has been implemented in more than 1300 acres since April of this year.

The fundraiser has been extended to December 31st. I request you to continue sharing the link with your contacts.

Thank you
Ajay
