Dear Friends,

Thank you for your love and support.

Sheroes Hangout's revenues are dropping beyond the capabilities of even the most extreme cost-cutting measures to prevent, due to the recent increase of coronavirus outbreaks and night curfews, capacity constraints, which have curtailed our ability to remain profitable.

The Challenge
We are currently experiencing a severe cash liquidity issue as a result of the closure of cafes. The sale of the two cafés plummeted to 80% of total sales in the year April 2020-March 2021, from approx 1.9 crore rupees in 2019-20 to 45 lakh rupees in 2020-21. More than thirty acid attack survivors may lose their jobs as a result of the current financial situation. The cafe project currently employs over 70 people, including 30 acid attack survivors, and provides for the basic needs of over 100 acid assault survivors in India.

We need the support to run our cafés. The Agra café has been shuttered for almost a year. Because of the closed international boundaries, the café is always reliant on tourists, whom we are unable to see.

Despite resuming operations in accordance with COVID requirements, the Lucknow café is experiencing the greatest drop in footfall and revenue. Due to the closed gates, poor footfall, and low earnings, we are unable to satisfy basic running expenses such as salaries, rent, and utility bills, resulting in significant liabilities.

What We DID?
Despite the fact that our café is no longer open, we continue to work on certain Projects/Campaigns and Activities such as;
  • Medical Treatment
Volunteer network effort and team highlighted the urgent need for treatments for a few survivors & helped them through medical funds.
  • Food Distribution Drive for Covid Patients and Attendants
We performed food distribution drives for COVID patients, their attendants, and vulnerable communities in and after lockdown, using the available resources at Sheroes and buffer stock.
  • Ration Distribution Drive for 100 Survivors
As a result of the lockdown, survivors were struggling to feed their families, so we started a campaign. We're giving 100 survivors ration packs so they can feed their families three times a day.
  • Counselling Sessions
With the pandemic seclusion, the mental health of the survivors was deteriorating so counselling sessions were conducted with renowned psychologists.
  • Survival Monetary help to Survivors
With our reserve funds depleted, we decided to ask all of our partners and supporters for assistance and hold fundraisers. We provided survival amounts to the survivors and staff with the cash received, but we are now at a loss for funds and are having difficulty paying rentals and salaries.
We are hoping for widespread assistance to assist us in achieving these goals because, as an organization, we have limited resources and face financial issues in providing rehabilitation to all of the affected beneficiaries.

Dear Friends,

A real life star who didn't quit even in the times of adversities has now been forced to surrender to a life-threatening disease.
Due to the failure of both her kidneys, acid attack survivor Bala can only be saved by an urgent kidney transplant.
If immediate help is not provided, we might lose this Braveheart and hence we seek your support.
Bala portrayed her inspiring self in the movie 'Chappak' and was also featured in the Kapil Sharma show.
From surviving an acid attack to overcoming the trauma and also supporting her family, her journey is truly motivating.
But life has again tested Bala with yet another battle to fight which she is seeming to lose.
Let's join hands to help her defeat this disease and come out stronger than ever before.

In these times, our team has been working whole-heartedly and it works as a great motivation when our efforts get recognized and appreciated.

Till today, we have delivered nearly 5000 food packets in Agra and Lucknow. We need your support to feed more people.

Please come forward and extend your support to the Food Distribution Drive by acid attack survivors.
