Dear Supporters,

Till date we have taken Chhotu to 3 Vets, all agreed on amputating one full leg, the tail and maybe also one more paw. It is very sad news but at least we are happy he will survive if anybody adopts him! I am changing the title of the campaign as his leg cannot be saved :(

We will try to go to one more NGO tomorrow (we contacted many but they don't foster) and if nothing works out we will take him to SPCA (on the other side of the city) and pray they don't decide to euthanize him! He needs extensive care and medication so we are desperate to find an NGO which offers 24h supervision as we are ourselves not able to provide that! Another problem is that he is extremely small (less than 500g) and anaesthesia may be too much for him to take.

The last Vet also confirmed that most likely a vehicle hit him and he later got attacked by other cats as well...He is so small but has been through so much already!!

Thank you all again for donating and helping us keep him alive! He looks in a really desperate condition in pics but, believe me, the day we found him he was about to die! He could not even meow and spent all day sleeping, the first Vet had warned us that he may not survive 24hrs but he is making an incredible recovery and we are very thankful to you all!

In the document section you can see the diagnosis and today's bill (We don't have the older bill but we will try to get it remade, proof that we had taken him to the vet before is "history of maggots in the wound" that the previous Vet had removed the day we found him)

Thank you all once again.

We would like to thank all donors from the bottom of our hearts! We have contacted lots of NGOs to take care of Chhotu but nobody wants to take him! Just now we met with people from Utkarsh Star Mitra Mandal -NGO - Animal Welfare Divison (Mulund) and after promising to take him and give treatment they backed out last minute after seeing his condition. They even went to the extent of saying they don't deal with cats even though they had spoken to us this morning and promised they will take him.We are looking for a new foster home!
