Walk of Joy India led by David Atthowe of Nomadic Lion along with Jasvir Singh from Youth Cultural Development Academy (YCDA) and Bahadar Singh, and started on July 15, 2017 from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu has entered the second State, Kerala. Walking through Nagercoil, Trivandrum and Kollam, we will soon reach Alappuzha on July 26, 2017.

We walk from place to place, village to village connecting with people and collecting million smiles.
On the way, we met local NGOs who told us about the problems faced by the farmers and how they are working in support of them. One of which is Thanal, an amazing NGO that is helping farmers right across the board, from training in sustainable agriculture, to ensuring farmer friendly legislation, to helping provide markets through schemes such as there organic bazaar. They had a proven formula for any state to tackle farmer suicides - Effective state led debt relief, Training, income generation opportunities, help with markets and Sustainable agriculture.
