Naseeb Mei likha hai Intezaar karna!

Intezaar is what the people on the road have in common. All of them are in waiting. Our frontline workers are also among them. Ever since the lockdown, the frontline workers, from the delivery boys to the rag pickers, all of them are in waiting for their daily wages. Without money, they can’t buy food, let alone afford a sawari to go back to their hometowns.

While we can’t help them with their wages, we can give them a little respite. With some biscuits and chilled water, we can strive to make this never-ending wait in this unbearable heat a little easier.

We would like to thank each and everyone who contributed to our campaign. We are able to provide 250 packets of biscuits and 500 packets of water every day.

Thank you @prateek_238 and @shrutikatiyar27 for assisting me today.

This tree is my best friend

Meet families who have been living under this tree for the last 29hours and counting.

They emptied their rented houses as soon as they booked their buses thinking  the wait is finally over and they can go home now. From asking other people they came to know that the buses are leaving from this particular spot which is right behind this wall. So they came rushing to this spot thinking that boarding happens on first-come-first-serve.

When they reached the venue, little did they know. They were pushed out from the facilities as they didn’t get any confirmation message about their buses which states the date and the day of the departure.
“Bina message ke building me an der bhi nahi jaane dene rahe hain sir,” said one migrant.

This happened 29hours back and has been living under this tree since then with no food and just 2 bottles of water for the entire family.

We gave them extra packets of water and biscuits that can last till tomorrow. We will be going tomorrow to get an update and provide more biscuits and water packets until they board the bus.

Each one has a family who refused to come on the camera.

We would like to thank each and everyone who contributed to our campaign and enabled us to help so many underprivileged families in Noida.

Joy in small packets for the small heroes of the lockdown.
Living on the road has become a new normal for the migrant workers and their families.
Lack of basic amenities, daily wages, food etc. have forced them to take on a journey which is full of uncertainty and reaching their destinations is next to impossible.

Since they have emptied their houses, they are forced to live under trees, bus and metro stations.
Meanwhile, the children who are oblivious of the whole situation are struggling every day to survive in the glaring sun with no/less food and water coolers closed amidst the lockdown.
This has affected their health drastically putting them under immediate risks. Also, they are forced to leave their friends and schools behind.
In the middle of this chaos, we can’t change everything but we are doing what we promised. We are bringing joy to the small heroes by giving them orange/chocolate biscuits with cold water packets with the help of your contributions.
Every day, we see the utter joy on their faces as soon as they hear about chocolate biscuits and their families don’t stop from thanking us.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our campaign and helped so many people.
