OVERALL GOAL:  Hunger Door Karona, seeks to provide Cooked Food as well as Food Grains to the Migrant and Casual labor trapped in the lockdown and are unable to support their family during this time of crisis. We are also providing meals to the Homeless and Civic staff who are nothing short of Warriors.
PROJECT DURATION: We started our distribution on 23rd March 2020 with a modest 256 packets and are currently providing over 8,500 meals daily. We are currently able to reach various areas spanning CST to Gowandi & Churchgate to Marol. We have teamed up with Saifee Ambulance Corps. to assist us for distributing the same.
Funds involved: With extension of the lockdown and increase in demand, we hope to serve 12,000 meals a day at an average cost of Rs. 20/- per meal through the remainder of the lockdown period.
