14th April 2020
Sterilisation: Day 1

Along with Feeding Day 18 part one and area Sealdah platform.
Area: Sealdah Platform

Number of Dogs: 13 (Both male and females)

NGO: Mother's Heart
Cost per dog- 1800 rupees
Total for today : 1800 * 13 = Rs. 23000/-

We have paid some today and will pay the rest during the drop.

Manpower: Me, my mother, Anita di and her husband and people from Mother's Heart.

Me and mother reached Sealdah at 11 am today without breakfast and after sleeping for just 3 hours. The pickup time for delayed because of some urgent issues at Mother's Heart's hand. However, they all reached at around 1:30 pm and we entered the platform and started picking up whichever we could.
I do not want to focus on just girls, I want all of them sterilised. In that scorching heat we ran across corners in the open area inside the premises. It took us 3 hours which almost felt like eternity in scorching heat of hell 😂 to pick 13 of them up.
We initially thought we could pick up 20, but the space was enough only for 15, so we decided on 15. But each one of us were completely drained after the 13 pick ups, so we stopped at that and the rest is left for next day.

After they left I fed the remaining dogs of Sealdah platform and came back home for my second feeding shift for NRS.

There are more than 100 dogs inside the platform and before the lockdown is lifted I want to completely sterilise Sealdah. The sight of dying puppies and malnourished mothers along with hungry and injured dogs is unbearable.

Kindly help me save innumerable souls from being subjected to the wrath of the streets.

Requesting all of you to help me see this through. Let's join hands and change the scenario of Kolkata stray dogs.
