13th August 2017

Amidst the welcome rains, The Good Harvest School started its second academic session from July 10th, 2017. Though due to heavy downpour, the school premises came to life a few days after the stipulated date of opening.

It’s a pleasure to share with you that we have 24 girls enrolled in the School and according to their pre-learning they have been put into Kindergarten, Class I and Class II. Some of the older girls aged 10-12 have never been to school and it is sad to put them in a lower class. However, we intend to work hard with them and bring them at par with their class level, so that they would be promoted within three months.

The girls are happy to be at the School and come regularly. These days we are practicing and preparing to put up a short program on Independence Day and it’s pretty exciting because it would be the first public event of the session.

On the agriculture front, we have a new arrival - ‘Varsha’ the she-calf. She is doing well and enjoys all the attention. This season, we have planted 150 plants altogether, which include teak, mango, lemon, guava, and a few ornamental plants. Children will learn preparing nursery beds and germination in the coming days.
Counting the joys more than the challenges, we are grateful to you for upholding this project with all your love and support, without which we wouldn’t have been able to give green education at The Good Harvest School. Please share the campaign with your kin and kith, and help us meet the much needed target of this year.

Thanks again for being a part of The Good Harvest School.
We look forward to have you here someday.
