Hello dearest friends and supporters, hope you all are safe and doing well. This is Kavita here, the organizer as well as the beneficiary of this fundraiser and I am here to share with you a small update on my current health condition and treatment.
Currently I am doing okay physically, working part time to support myself. My treatment has been going on at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai since the last 1.5 years. I had relapse in January this year on chest wall and on back side (L3) for which I have been advised 12 chemo cycle out of which we are done with 7 chemos and 5 are still remaining. The consulting doctors shall be referring to the PET(positron emission tomography) scan reports to see the treatment results.
Next course advised is the removal of reproductive organs if I wish to do it in order to reduce the chances of reoccurrence of cancer in those specific areas that include ovaries uterus second breast. I have been advised to eat normal home made food and do regular exercises, preferably walks.
Funds are been withdrawn to my bank account (Kavita Mukesh Thakkar) which have been used to repay the pending hospital bills and for the chemotherapies that are lined up. So far, Approx. ₹1,54,168.17 has been withdrawn and now I am withdrawing $957.88, which will be sued for two chemos which have been scheduled to take place on 15th and 29th April, 2021. So now, I have to look forward to the following tests and treatments that include some Blood tests before chemo, Chemotherapy, Blood cell injection, etc. Each chemotherapy costs around INR 34K.
This is a really expensive and long term medical treatment that needs more funds, more support, more love from you. I certainly cannot manage it by my own, but with the warm and loving response that I have received through my campaign from people far and near, I am being hopeful that you shall continue extending your kind contribution and support once more towards my cause.
