After the incidence of feed intolerance/gastritis on saturday evening, our father seems to be doing OK on sunday afternoon. Sunday's parameters are as follows:-
IV antibiotics and BP medications are still going on which doctors believe can be stopped in a couple of days. Fingers Crossed. They also believe that his "normals" are different than the usual population average. Such as body temperature (35.5 degree C), Pulse (45-55), blood pressure (100/60) etc. The edema is yet to be managed and he has been given IV albumin and diuretics for that.
We are waiting for the green signal from the doctors and will plan his discharge as soon as possible to avoid any further possibility of secondary infection. Things can change very dramatically in an ICU. Please keep him in your prayers.🙏

During our visit on saturday evening, our father had an episode of feed intolerance, indigestion and gastritis again. He also had unusually low body temperature so warmer support had to be turned on. He appeared unwell today.

We are pleased to inform you that our father is doing much better today. Today's parameters are as follows:
His urine output is OK and digestive system is working fine. Hypokalemia and hyoernatremia is getting better. Noradrenaline to control blood pressure is stopped but 8 hourly Hydrocortisone is still being given. Antibiotics Colistin and Meropenem are still being infused to keep control on the infection. Edema is getting better. Full recovery will still take some more days.
