Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for the support and love.

Rajeshwari was shifted from ICU to the insulation ward recently. The ventilator was removed and it would take a couple of more days before her normal diet is started while she is being fed liquid diet orally. She is on controlled sedation to alleviate pain and prepare her for the physiotherapy treatment and wound dressing that should happen more regularly now.  She will continue to be in isolation ward to prevent infection and recovery for a couple of days before moving to normal ward.

Thanks again for the prayers.

Dear Supporters,

Doctors have indicated with the current progress, they will remove the ventilator before end of this week.

Rajeshwari would continue to be in ICU for observation and reviewing response and then shifted to the general ward after a couple of days.

She is currently in ICU and current hospitalization maybe for a couple of more weeks before discharge based on her response.

Post this, there would be a multi-stage / multi-step approach with respect to treatment as noted below. Some of the below treatment/processes would require her to be admitted again in hospital while some at home based on response to treatment:
- Dressing/Healing/care for amputated leg
- Treatment for operated leg with plates
- Physiotherapy
- Professional Counselling for the patient recovering from Phantom Limb Pain so as to get back to normal life.
- Prosthesis leg fitting after leg is completely healed and ready to be fitted with the same and associated rehabilitation procedure
- We are being advised that nursing care/nurse at home will cost Rs. 750-Rs. 1000 for 10 hours and physiotherapy anywhere between Rs. 300 to Rs.550 for a session for a couple of months.

Until her complete recovery (well beyond getting discharged from hospital), the family will not have an earning member and have to sustain on the donations and savings.

Considering financial support promised from various well-wishers and administrative establishments towards current hospitalization expenses, parents have asked this fundraiser be stopped and reopen later if required based on her progress.

Parents look forward to use the donations made till now in Milaap towards one or more of the above-mentioned post-hospitalization expenses and rehabilitation processes required for Rajeshwari and taking care of her day to day needs.

A portion of the money would be deposited towards immediate expenses to her mother's account and remaining will be used to create a fixed deposit for long term care.

This fundraising initiative was started in consultation with Rajeshwari's relatives, colleagues and friends to help this family in distress, to worry less about the money and focus more on recovery and rehabilitation and this initiative has precisely achieved that. Please feel free to reach out to us for any queries or concerns regarding her health or expenses. We will be happy to share the details.

Parents, friends, colleagues, extended family express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of the contributors for their prayers and donation. Thanks a million again to all the people for the show of support. Thanks a million to Milaap and their team for making this whole process seamless, hasslefree and providing all support with no administrative or logistical interference. The whole process was smooth and transparent.

Thanks a lot to the complete team of Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital from doctors, nurses, admin, staff for their support and we place our faith with them in continuing to give the best possible care till discharge and beyond.

Special thanks to the close-set of family/friends and colleagues who are in the hospital since Rajeshwari's admission till now and helping the parents on the ground on all necessary aspects from arranging blood to other logistics. Finally, sincere thanks to everyone for their concern and care in spreading the word about the need for help. God Bless Everyone.

Regards,
Venkatesh
