Things are not going in favor. It is getting difficult to wean him off the ventilator even after antibiotic course suggested by pediatric pulmonologist Dr. Krishan Chugh and due to which his stay is going to increase for at least 15 days.

Bronchoscopy had been done yesterday at Fortis Gurgaon by Dr. Krishan Chugh and as per reports, he has granulation in lungs. He suggested that the patient needs at least 5 - 6 days of ventilation along with medication which includes high-grade antibiotics and steroids. Antibiotics suggested are Meropenem, Flocunazole, Colistin, Amikacin, and Steroid Dexamethasone. Antibiotics have started yesterday hope he will respond.

Thanks for being with me till now.

He was extubated on 22/10/19 but on 23/10/19 he agin had respiratory distress,  pco2 level in blood gas increases to 124. So he was reintubated on 23/10/19 morning and again on ventilator prvc mode. Now, a CT scan has been done yesterday and found a blockage in the left lung.  Now bronchoscopy will be done tomorrow at Fortis Gurgaon to know the real reason for blockage and why blockage has not been removed even after repeated suctioning and nebulization.
