Dear supporters,

My mother Alka has finally started opening her eyes. She doesn't respond to our voices but sometimes she opens her eyes for a few seconds. The doctors are saying that this is a positive sign towards recovery although proper consciousness has yet not been seen. Her vitals are stable right now so she has been shifted from ICU to Ward in Terna hospital. It will take time for her to recover so we are trying our best to shift her to Delhi in a good government hospital either AIIMS or RML. We will take her by road which is a huge risk but we must take that risk as the cost of air ambulance will go beyond 6 lakhs which is not viable for us.

Also you can see my Dad and brother trying to call her so that she might open her eyes which she does but on her own. Still she does not recognize anybody as of now, hoping in coming days she will start doing the same.

Please continue to share this page as much as you can. This couldn't have been made possible without your support.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude by the outpouring of support for Alka! Here is the latest update on her present condition:

She was moved to a private ward on Friday 20th in order to isolate her. This was done to prevent any further chances of infection. At night her respiration rate spiked above 50. As a result she was moved back into ICU on Saturday and put on ventilator. The neurosurgeon is saying that now her vitals are stable but it will take time for her to regain consciousness. She will continue to be monitored in ICU and I will update as more information is given. As previously mentioned, we greatly appreciate all of your love and support.
