CiFoS Sanjayanagara is a Resident Welfare Association actively engaged in community activities in Sanjayanagara, Bengaluru 560 094.
Current Scenario:
- The increase in car and heavy vehicle traffic has worsened congestion and significantly decreased road safety. Walking & Cycling has become a hazard for everyone from children to senior citizens.
- To improve the quality of living of the people in the layout there is an urgent need to adopt sustainable mobility measures.
- The project looks at mobilising a social change in the neighbourhood to adapt NMT modes (walking and cycling). Cycling to school is expected to double, which will reduce the number of vehicular.
- It looks to increase the number of cyclists from 16 to 32% through the installation of 40 cycle stands and provision of 6 traffic safety wardens
Mentioned below are the areas of improvement for active community participation and sustained efforts.
