About Milaap
Milaap was initiated in June 2010, by three passionate young entrepreneurs who had a single vision, to change people's concept of giving and make it a personal, transparent and sustainable process. By crowd-sourcing loans for social causes, Milaap enables the urban global citizen to make an impact in a small but accountable way. You can choose a person you want to help, make a returnable contribution for as little as $25 and watch the magic ensue. The end borrowers are the deserving, working poor of India, students, small businesses, families who need a small amount of capital to get ahead and change their lives for the better.
